More Ways Than Ever to Remotely Access Your DVR
Our new QV Series DVRs offer a number of ways to view live video over the internet when your are away or on the go. Many popular mobile devices including the iPhone, Android, iPad, iTouch, Blackberry (some models), and those using Windows Mobile and Symbian OS's. Additionally, access using a PC or Mac can also be used to playback archived video, download clips, fully configure the DVR, and even listen to audio if a microphone is connected.

Access Using a Personal Computer
Like most modern DVRs, remote access can be achieved using the Internet Explorer browser. However, the intial connection can be problematic if one is not familiar with how to configure the security settings to allow the download of the necessary ActiveX controls. Therefore, we recommend a superior and easier method. All the QV Series DVRs can be remotely accessed using our Professional Surveillance Software, called PSS.  This program is easy to install and use and can be downloaded from the links below. Without getting too long-winded, some of the major functions are:

View live video and audio;  optionally have popup messages to indicate motion detection or alarm triggers
Review and playback recorded video clips from the DVR
Download video clips--can also convert to .AVI file formate at the same time (to play in Windows Media Player)
Talk into a mic at PC and have voice played over speaker connected to DVR (2-way chat if mic @ camera too)
  Control a PTZ Camera (Pan-Tilt-Zoom)
Connect & view cameras from multiple DVRs at once. An address book of DVRs makes connecting fast & easy. This feature is not possible with ANY DVR using a browser (like IE) which can only connect to one IP at a time.

Use Your Smart Phone

All of our QV DVRs use an app called DMSS that allows live streaming of camera video from the DVR, over the cellular network to many popular mobile devices.  If you would like to try out DMSS on your phone and connect to our demo DVR to see live video, check out our Smart Mobile Device Demo Area  We recommend doing this before your DVR purchase if viewing live video on your phone is important to you.
